About Morris

Morris Dahan is a self-taught contemporary artist from Safed, Israel. Morris explores the love of his city – it’s
colorful narrow streets and the dramatic terrain through the depiction of people, nature, and biblical narratives.

His observation of biology can be seen in many of his paintings from flora and fauna. He reimagines stories
from the Bible that speak to him like “Joseph’s coat of many colors,” “Jacobs ladder,” and the “Parting of the
Red Sea”.

Morris works with watercolor. He forms clear structures paired with vivid colors to create characterized pieces
unique to his style
