Description
Morris grew up being a child of eight, the idea of owning his own bicycle was only but a dream-something unattainable.
In this piece we see a single bicycle illuminated by a street light. The bicycle is distorted in its shape, unusable if it was in our physical world. This is an intentional reflection to Morris’ belief as a child of not being able to have a bicycle of his own, yet the street light is Morris’ optimistic outlook for the future.
As an adult, Morris cultivated the belief that if he was to achieve something, he would need to work hard and take himself on his own feet, without relying on a bicycle.
